    QT tank in progress!

We just started on our QT tank build. Hopefully it will be up and running before the 4th. Here is what we have done so far.

I have more video coming. We are putting on the final touches to the box. This is a QT tank so it needs to be able to be taken down and moved or stored. That is why there is no plumbing. I tell ya those 10X3.5 panels are HEAVY!

We are going back a forth from using an air lift to using a pump. There will be 2 drains, but no skimmer. Sean wants to do a modified Eric, with a toilette flapper. Talking about flushing the system

How are you going to make the liner "fit" the QT tank?

Sean did his best, but we still ended up with pleated corners. If I have a choice I would have had a custom fit liner. As it was we still had to put 2 pieces togeather. At least it used up all my bulk liner. If I had to make a change to this design I would have braced the long sides. They bow out about 3 inches. We added shade cloth to the top and when we are not pond side it stays covered. The koi seem to enjoy it and all excpet Lucky are in it. I want Lucky to grow a few inches before he goes out.

Here are the clips of the pond picking up from where the first video let off to the fish swimming about. This was before we set up the filter.

Ah, we used the filter and pump from my first pond to get things going. That is why Spike and Spot are in the QT tank with the crapagoi and chagoi and ochiba tosai/nisai. Still it got the house fish out of the aquariums.
