Started digging but had to change the pond design as I've gone with a liner rather than concrete and fibreglass. So the pond will be the same dimensions but with an aerated bottom drain in the centre and skimmer gravity feeding to a seive. The seive will then have an area for a pipe pump to pump straight over the showers and then 4" pipe back to pond in one corner to set up a circular current. Basically I don't expect to be in this house that long so all the extra cost and permanence of the concrete just wasn't an option - liner and removable filters won the day!
