Two weeks ago the “balloons” finally got into action.

    In short it worked perfectly!!!

I have organised an extension hose and connected it to the hose of the balloon. The manometer allowed pumping them up easily to the max. pressure of 1.35bar. So I went into the water, unscrewed the air dome and inserted the balloon. After it was blown up, I disconnected the extension hose and caped the valve. Then I tied the hose around the pole of the bottom drain and fixed the air dome again. After the job was done, I released the air of the balloon and took it out.

At that stage it’s important to hold the hose as the pull of the water is trying to suck the balloon into the drain as one releases the air from it.

We also added a shut off valve to the drain lines in order to avoid further diving!!

Thanks again for the good tips and kind regards,
    Marco
