    Any suggestions?

So basically, I am going to build an expansion of my pond for the fry. I plan to make it above the pond so it naturally overflows to the main pond as a waterfall. The question is.... How would I prevent the fry from falling into the main pond via waterfall?? Any suggestions?

What about netting or some sort of screene large enough to allow debri through but not the babies?

You could make the plumbing such that you can isolate the fry pond when rearing little koi.

    1. Separate filter for the fry pond
    2. Shut off water fall input while raising little fish

Any screen small enough to contain fry would clog.

True, but you can allways clean the screen.

I do not have an answer, but I would look at aquarium store systems for an answer if using a "fry box".

Many tropical fish stores have the aquariums connected together into one filtration system.

For a small pond that has a waterfall to a larger pond, can you have the intake for the waterfall come from under gravel or rocks?
