    Sediment Basin

    Has anybody ever used one?

They make them commercially and sell them for fish farmers.

Those would have to be huge to settle anything out according to their info of 0.7 -1.4sqft per GPM of flow. 6000 GPH = 60 GPM x 1.4 sqft = 84 sqft or roughly 8'x10' (or 42sqft = 4'x10' at the lower sqft). And what if you flow more than 6000 GPH, as many of us do?

Given this large of a footprint, I don't see how it is better than a round settling chamber or sieve.
