    New pond build question:

How many BD minimum do I need for a rectangular pond 8m x4m x 1.8m deep?
Can I get away with 2?

Typically you can plan on a 4" (110mm) bottom drain for every 5000 gallons (15-17 thousand liters) of water or, a radius of up to 6-8 feet (2m). Each BD would supply its own filter system....as would the skimmers.

By the way, I would go a little deeper than 1.8m. The first pond I built was around 1.2m. The current one is 8' (around 2.4m) deep. If you go deeper than 3m netting them becomes a real problem unless the pond is very narrow.
