    Cetus 200micron screen change out

A question for any of you Cetus users out there....did any of you change out the 300micron screen for the 200micron screen? Did you notice any significant improvement in mulm seperation? Do you recommend the change to other Cetus owners?

Wow, sorry I missed out on this one so far.

I am not a Cetus user exactly. I built a DIY sieve based on the Cetus 100 micron screen. I've been using it since January with excellent results. I know you've seen it on TPF, Mike.

My experience with it is that it needs to be covered. Sun exposure creates algae that can clog up the finer screen pretty rapidly. I've fed Kenzen exclusively for 1.5 years now, so I am not collecting large amounts in my waste bin. Leaves at this time of year, mostly. I'd have to say that I've been very pleased with my sieve and with the 100 micron screen. I would not want to move to a larger opening screen, even if it was offered to me for free.

Forgot to add, my results may be based upon what I am feeding, so results could certainly vary

I switched from 300 micron to 200 for over 2 years and yes you can see a diffrence in water quality but don't be too quick to sell the 300 micron becasue you still need them if you go on a long vacation. I know a lot of people are very happy with 300 micron screen + MC 50 Multicyclone combo because the MC50 catches particles down to 50 micron and very easy to clean.

Adding an MC-50 to your prefiltration would really help your Cermedia performance, Tom.
