    Pond Rebuild / 2000-2500gal / budgeting

    Good Afternoon Everyone!

I'm planning on expanding my 860gal pond to 2000-2500gal next year. I'm putting together a budget so I can do things right this go around. Could you please tell me your favorite equipment or what you would recommend for a pond this size? I'll be using a pond liner and will have a waterfall as well.

    Thanks!

The most important part of filtration IMO is good biological filtration. Having said that, the best biological filtration is a shower filter.
I also do not like high energy, low efficient pumps. I do not know your "budget", but will assume you have a modest budget.
I would recommend an Ultrasieve III mechanical pre-filter, a Sequence or Performance Pro pump, and a DIY shower filter.

My budget is 3.5k. That excludes the 1200 liner and aqua art bottom drain.

What is your estimate cost for the 1200 liner and Aqua Art bottom drain?

The liner is $1215 and the Aqua Art Large Retrofit Drain is $215. I want to get the one with aeration. Total budget is 5k but with these 2 items it leaves me with 3.5k for filtration, pump, etc.

Okay gotcha... that leaves a lot of money for good filtration system.

You could buy Ultrasieve III, a Sequence or Performance Pro pump, and maybe one of these:
