Instead of having a sucking undergravel system, we will be having a pushing undergravel system. Just think of an undergravel system reversed. It will be puching water up through the pea gravel, but this is water from the filter, so it has already been filtered quite well. Does this kind of make the idea to have a gravel filter better?

My Bad.... Best of luck to you

    Erikku no atarashii ike desu.

The photos some of you have been waiting for have finally somehow made their way to my computer.
I will get more photos for sure.
Of course the pond is not filtered and is not done, I have a daily chore of getting the pine needles out.
Dont worry, we are putting in a skimmer but david wanted to see what it was going to look like with water in it....lol oh brother!

Enjoy everyone. Forgive the lack of light.
Well This is my new pond, the waterfall is not in yet, have to put in a french drain.
The bottom drain is in, I am glad I put it in, it wasnt very hard at all.
But the liner was a different story.......
we ordered a 35 x 30 liner, and got a 35 x 50 liner, and 2 people had to cary it down stairs and across a rock sidewalk. that wasnt fun, I have a scar on my finger now.

Its a bit more than 6000 gallons.......probably around 7500-8000 gallons, shame on me..... .
Maximum depth is 4.25 feet, I wish it could be more, but its not.
The little rock enclosure you see there is the "BOG". I am still a little worried about it, but I am sure things will work out. one way or another.
All of the rocks you see there are harvested with a permit of course.
the rocks were sooo big. There is one rock that was around 400 LBS. Crushed davids tail gate. David put a lot of rocks around the pond, but those will be covered with a lot of foliage in the future.
Hopefully the pond can be done before we hit the 2 year mark this fall, Im sure it will.
All rocks are 100% cemented in, well mortared in.

What is the wall between the pond and bog made of? Earthen? How deep is the bog?

Are you worried that the hill above the pond will cause mud and other debris to run off into the pond when it rains?

Oh and shouldn't this be in the construction thread...
