Time To Get Real

Back On Track !
My new pond was dug two weeks ago. And its been slowly getting shallower. In the morning I have four professional masons coming to fix my issues. The pond has been eroding and getting shallower. It went from 7.5 ft to 6ft in two weeks. It has moving ground water and sandy loam soil, it has been slowly filling it self in. Tomarrow were going to dig some more and get the depth and shape I need. Then were going to set the drains and returns, put 3/4 inch stone in it, put the wire mesh in it and pour the floors to the pond and the filter room. I'll have PICS tomorrow night.

If you have ground water that will continue to come in, what will you do to keep it out during construction?

It sounds like he is going to be trying "speed" Russ.

A new shopping center is going up near us and they are dewatering about 3 acres to get the sewer mains in. (Sewers?!?) Fiberglass pools all have a pipe run deeper than the pool with the pipe's bottom tied in to the crushed rock under the pool, and housing a sump pump so the pool doesn't float away.

Pit and a pump...only way.

Good luck Michael C.
