| Steve, I have a meter that I use on the hose to get the actual gallons of the pond. I have my pond set up on a semi-flow through. I wanted to add a meter on the outgoing waste pipe so I can judge how much water I'm changing out a day. Just by using a gallon container and a stop watch, I'm guessing it's somewhere around 200 gallons a day but I know that's not accurate. |

| Flow meter or water meter. A bit different. Water meter, like the one for your house, lets the water company know how much water you've used. Also imortant for filling a pond, duh.. Flow meters are in two categories. The inexpensive one will roughly tell the gph, but do not allow them to be in the sun as alge will cloud the reading. Sac Koi has a digital meter, about $250.00 which is very accurate. Ed |
