Wish we could, Kathy -- but our remodel has us tied in knots (as it is).

Steve got here a bit early even! WTG! The truck actually wasn't far behind him. It had rained during the night though so we had some slop to deal with but otherwise everything has gone smoothly! The split face blocks got just before Steve did.

So because of the tight area and the reach to get the whole done, we had a pumper truck come in along with the cement truck.

We moved the block on down to the center of the pond after Steve & Jerry smoothed it all down.

Its clouded in and rained some, but supposed to clear back off for the next week and be sunny! Tomorrow we will start doing the first row of blocks & rebar set!

Ah, the excitement of Cement Day is something I can well remember!

Glad to see you've finally cleared this 'hurdle.' It's all downhill from here (ha, ha, ha).

Well the blocks moved downhill anyway!

Got outside to work this am, talk about downhill, the idjits delivered cement rather then morter mix, so they are on the way with the morter mix & should be here soon. But thats more of a step back ...

More progress today though! But I think Murphy and his law snuck in.. Started to mix the mortor and found we had been delivered cement instead, so the builders mart made a flying trip up and replaced that with the right stuff, also the corner blocks we had ordered and got some different blocks instead. So some plumbing got done while we where waiting amongst some other small things to do. Once that got here and the exchange done, they went to work getting the first layer of blocks on. I made a trip down for some 4" 90* ABS elbows and got back having braved road construction hold ups and Murphy had had some more fun.. The new cement bit broke in one and half holes. So I made another trip down the hill for a new bit.

Mind you, tickets go on sale next week for the 1 round match between me and Murphy, See Captk @ KV for popcorn and sodas!

We did make progress today despite Murphy at any rate.

More progress today. Two more rows of blocks and I think the skimmer will be going in tomorrow! Today we started getting the split face block in and tossed the son back inside the pond to start getting the bottom ready!
