How will this showa turn out?

I bought this one 3 years ago. Sadly, a week ago it hopped out of the pond and by the time I got to it, it had died.

If you remember this fish, don't post, but if not, I'd love to see what your thoughts are....

Breeder is Suda, 6 inch tosai, bought from Koi and Pond Supply of Japan.

Well, under the circumstances I'd say the answer to your question would be "dried out and crispy".

I would love to see a picture of it 3 years later.

My thoughts? The fish looks way too skinny.

even though it is skinny it STILL has a bit of a stomach!
i really wanna see why you kept this fish for three years.
Let me guess..it jumped out of the pond after you placed a mirror over the pond and it saw how ugly it was?

well, here's what it did. Here it is after a month and a half in QT. My guess is that the fish was not fed much in the sale bin, resulting in a very lanky body, initially.

I saw the pattern as being excellent. I did not see something else though.

Two months later in my care, it had gone to 13 inches (gained almost 7 inches in 3.5 months).

Compare the tail tube to the initial picture. Yet, something is off. Even with people telling me for a year I didn't see it. (some of you are laughing right now thinking, of course that idiot Ethan didn't see it)

It is amazing how fast they can grow when they are young.

Started out boring, ended up boring. Cheap fish, terrible results. Sorry for your loss.
