    Question

Why the salt bath? Do you do this every spring to all your fish or do you just do this to the koi you are spawning? If so should I do this before I spawn my pair?

    Hey Judy

I did not do this last year but it is my understanding that this is a regular process used at Momotaro before spawning.

How strong is the salt bath and how long do you leave them in the bath. I can see where it would benefite, cleaning the koi and keeping eggs safe I guess.

Hi Keifer, If you can try and get another video of the koi spawning, you are right you cant find anything like it on the net. I did have the video of the last spawn and lost it. If you can get this I want to down load to a CD and mark and save. I want to take it to work and let some of my friend that like this sort of thing so they can see it, and let them see the beauties that you have.

Thanks, and good luck with your spawn and new fry coming.
