Because i'm so close to the japanese community with it's strong representation in the Seattle area, I'm reminded of the brave americans of the 442nd who fought in europe for THIER country! Many of which whose families were in prison camps. Of the few who survived most had awards of numerous purple hearts.
This was the most decorated company in all of the army during world war two!

I'm reminded of the Navajo who talked their native language and the enemy could never break the code.

or the black air corp that also proved their worth and served with great bravery.

Not much is ever said about the wonderful men who went to the korean front and gave their lives.

My generations' soldiers, died in a very unpopular Vietnam war.

I'm grateful to see the current soldiers risking their lives in the middle east as getting some respect from the country they represent.

I'll be happier still when wars and rumors of wars are no longer .

Thanks to all the vets who rose to the challenge of their generation!
