    What am I?

From this picture can you tell me if it's a male or female. I'm 99% sure what it is, but my wife is telling me I'm wrong.

I could be wrong, but I think it is female.

Males have a long vent and female a round vent.

I would have guessed male. Most females are protruding a bit this time of year. Post a top view and size estimate.

Looks male to me but it would be better to give a top view of the koi.

Yes, it is a male. My wife doesn't want to believe it because it was sold to us as a female. I told her it has to go since I don't want any males in the pond. She is very upset with it all. It is this ochiba I posted on the other post. I'm sure it is a male. It has all the signs of a male. He has the sand paper skin on it. The body shape of a male, and a rock hard abdomen.

Nice fish. You should enjoy it through the rest of the year and evaluate again before spawning season 2006.

Shot I'll take it too if you don't want it...Who's the breeder again? I don't think I'll have a problem bulking it up to look like female....
