    Opinions Please

    Hey Guys & Gals,
As most of you know, I've been redoing my pond, and its about ready for fish. My question to you is, how slowly should I introduce the fish to their new home? Should it be 2 fish a week?, or every couple of days? Your thoughts.

I'd toss them all in, and just keep feeding to a minimum and do water changes if your filter isn't "up" yet.

    But that's just me

It depends on if their enviroment in the new pond is better or worse than where they are staying now.

If they are currently well kept, I'd add a few and give them a few days to see if any start 'sunning their bellies'. Just to be sure the new pond is safe. (It absolutely should be safe, but better this than sorry.) It also gives a chance for you to see how well the filter system catches up.

If, like MikeM, you don't see a blip, then add more until you do and hold off adding more till the blip goes away.

If their current accommodations aren't great then add a lot more a lot faster and hope you can keep up via water changes and additives.

Once fish are in there seeding the filter should be easy too.

I think adding a few fish to start off to start building the bioactive should be cool...Plus I think your adding Microlift to start it off on the right foot so I wouldn't worry too much...After a couple of weeks start adding fish slowly....

HA HA.. with my feet being in there I think that was more of Bio Hazzard...

Anyhow I would add a good amount of fish as your pond is pretty big...

I wouldn't add during the cycle process as then you start to change things as the cycle goes along.. Just add and let it take it course..

Pond warming Party... Cool!!! I will Bring some culls....
