As the picture has not attached i cannot see it.

    But,

A koi is worth what you are willing to pay for it. If you like this Koi and can afford it then buy it. Only worry about technical aspects if you intend to show it.

On that note :- Try and attach the picture again so we can all get a look.

I too wish to add my voice of welcome with the rest.
the bloodline of your sanke is well known in the history and transistion of today's modern day sanke.

for a koi to reach 30 inches in 4 years, the genes and care had to be right.

for a farmer to hang on to something for 4 years means they must have seen something in it or they could not afford to put the money into it if there would be no or little return.

as others have indicated it is most difficult to assess a koi when the pattern and body shape can not be seen, but I have a feeling that it will be a pretty one and valued in the thousands of dollars. This particular breeder is known for lots of quality black and to some who enjoy less there could easily be some discenting
    opinions.

In the end, the value of the koi is what you place on it. The first time i saw my lead narumi asagi with magoi blood in her, i just about "flipped". Peter of koi kichi fame would have called her a "staggerback". I still get that same feeling when I look for her first when I go visit the pond.

Okay, here is my antiques road show critque. The Sanke from what info we have is in very good condition. Jimbei is known for big blocky sumi and this is what this Sanke has and plus it is over 30". It is hard to find Jimbei Sanke of this caliber...I would have to put a fare market value of $15,000 on it (dealer price) and $10,000 (hobbyist price)....
The world sleeps as the chance to learn something new passes.
