Essential Tips on how to build a pond
These ten tips on how to build a pond have been acquired by experience. I've had my fair share of setting filtration ponds. During these difficult times I have found some excellent solutions on how to build a pond that copies nature and durable.
    1. found that prevention is better than cure! A garden pond should be constructed properly to avoid a load of problems in the future. This collection of tips includes the construction of ponds, some ideas to copy nature, the selection of the pump and even something on a bog garden.
2.Make indentations in the bottom of the hole where garden pond will be planted. Place the underlying coating and a pond. Place the pots on the line, pre-shaped notches of the lagoon with a layer of washed river sand (sharp sand). Finally place the stones on top of the sand. While your plants are still in pots, which will appear as if they were growing through the stones.
Make a ledge around the garden pond about 3 inches (75 mm) below the final water level. Build your song in this rock ledge and fill with soil. It will seem as if the rocks form a natural barrier keeping the water in the pond.
How to build a pond for wildlife: a sandy beach that gradually slopes towards the water provides an excellent area for wildlife to get access to safe water. Also make sure that there is a clear view of the birds of this beach. They do not feel threatened and they stay longer and possibly a bath as well!
How to build a pond that has a duration: A permanent pond is created by coating a layer of plaster to 35 of 25 mm mortar. Mix 1 part cement to 2 parts river sand beach and a building from adding a waterproofing agent. Use only enough water to make the mixture workable. Line the pond at once. If you stop and start again take a crack at the pond.
How to build a pond that does not leak: Natural stone and mortar have different rates of expansion of the temperature. This means that over time, the cracks between the rocks are built on the shore of the lagoon and the mortar lining. The pond will eventually escape. This is the way to build a garden pond with a natural stone finish on the edge:
    Line the pond with mortar.
Place a thick layer of mortar on the edge of the rocks where they placed
Place a layer of transparent plastic film on top of the mortar.
Firmly push each rock into position on top of the cling wrap. The mortar will be shaped rocks.
Remove the stones and plastic wrap after the mortar has dried. Temporarily store the rocks so that you will be able to put them back in the same position later.
Apply silicone sealant to the mortar and the "tail" of the rocks in their correct positions. The seal is not visible. Make sure you use a sealer is not toxic or otherwise the fish will surely die.
Once dry, the set is permanently sealed! Please wait until the silicone is completely dry before filling the pond with water. This process requires patience, but worth the effort. Doing things right at the beginning will save time and expense later - Guaranteed!
Use the correct size pump if it is to filter the water and not a source. Take the pressure drop across the filter when selecting your pump. You can also select a bomb from a size bigger than you think you will need. It's easy to throttle the flow back a little if it is too, but you can increase the flow if it is slow! Do not reduce the size of the tubes. Use the tubes the same diameter as the pump inlet and outlet. Rather increase the diameter to reduce friction in the pipes. High friction reduces the flow of water. Protect the pump by placing a nylon stocking (middle of the ladies) in the pump suction. This will prevent dirt in the pump and prolong the life of the pump. Replace the medium frequency.
Hide behind something pump in the pond. The pumps are ugly and detract from the natural look and feel of a garden pond. Similarly conceal the source of its water outlet. Let the water bubble out from under stones or pebbles, or use large leaves to hide the end of the pipe.
Choose different sizes of stones to line your pond. In nature, different stone sizes. Three different sizes enough. Trying to copy nature, putting some larger stones here and there. Having a rock above water will also provide an ideal landing spot for birds. Just do not over do it. Nature is the best teacher on how to build a pond.
Keep your pond healthy by replacing some of the water each week. An excellent idea is to build a swamp area in the overflow of the pond. When you put fresh water in the lagoon, flooding the bog remains wet. A wetland area is digging a hole and lined with pond liner. Push a few holes in the bottom of the walls with a garden fork. Fill the hole with special soil bog garden.
