          Kiky,

When you add information to your profile, you can choose an 'Avatar'. This is the little picture you see alonside our name when viewing the posts.

What I was trying to do, was load a small Koi picture, but I was unable to. Perhaps Brian will explain the reasoning behind why 'we' cant do this, when he sees these posts.
          Regards, Bob

            Bob,

You can! If I can do it, see left, then anyone can.

Ok, Mark resized my pic for me ages ago, then I put it in my gallery at www.koipix.com - then right click on it, then properties, then copy the info. re. the address, or URL I believe.

In profiles on here, paste that info in the avatar section where it asks you for 'off site' (or similar) details, 3rd window down I think.

            Hey presto!

As I say, if I can sort that, anyone can. 8)

Mail me a pic you want resized as an avatar and I can sort size for you.

                  possibility to upload avatars?

As I remember, in the profile you are supposed to be able to upload the avatar; as well as, link to a file on the net. Linking seems to work fine. Uploading does not seem to work. That is sad.

Seems to be that the folder on the server needs permissions changed.

"'As I say, if I can sort that, anyone can.' - yeah after how many phone calls" erm, phone calls? how about none!

MCA - Yes, exactly what I found, it didn't work when I picked the second window but did when I picked the third window directing it to a remote site, in my case www.koipix.com but at least I sorted it in the end, and without a phone call!

                        Must use links

Got it! It works if you used the links. Must have something to do with permissions as suggested by someone. 8)

                          Andrew/Mark,

                          Yep that works, thanks.

Obviously KoiPix shrinks the Pic so it is small enough and pasting the address works well.

                            Mark/Andrew,

Have also noticed that you can paste in the KoiPix website link for your own album into the web address and hey presto you get a button for your own web page. Click on it and 'your' own web site (KoiPix) appears.

                            Nice one Brian.
