Good interview with good friend and great hobbyist, Frank Morales.

Too bad Nancy wasn't also able to make the show and share the limelight.

Thank you for posting the video on Bito, I really enjoyed watching my hubby talk with Sumi, wish I could have been there also.

I heard you posted it on KP, but the thread was closed, due to me not liking there board... Now I wonder why I don't like that board

Nice interview. Hard to think of a rational reason for anyone to close a thread with such good advice from a modest man but then again some people will just never get it... We do and we're grateful you posted it here for us to enjoy

We missed meeting you. We will meet you at some other koi show. We couldn't make up for SoCal Show this year because Sumi was having some issues with her pregnancy. She is ok now. Please tell our regards to Frank. Please tell Frank one more thanks from us for giving the interview. We learned something new from the interview, which is very hard for us to follow as a newbie. "Reduce the stock"!!! But what he says is very true. No wonder why he has a beautiful collection.

I will PM you about KP. I didn't want to discuss this here. I like using koi forums to learn and discuss about Koi.

            Thanks,
            Sumi and Antony,

                okay question

this interview/show took place during winter fast,
                BUT
did i understand correctly that you fast for 3 weeks prior to a show normally?

That is correct, fasting for 3 weeks, allows us to condition, there whites.. and try to have there system cleaned out as good as possible, on large fish they can stress more so than small fish, we fill that a 3 week fast is benificial to our koi's health and stress during show season. It has worked for us for several years now, so while others might not agree it is part of our pre show regiment along with many water changes.

Cheryl, you took the words right out of my mouth.

Finally took time to watch the video, good job Frank.

Frank is the nicest, most misunderstood guy that I know and I love him.

You'd enjoy them, Meg - they're both great people! If I ever win the lottery I'm going to bring Frank here to build me a new pond. (Note to self: must remember to actually buy lottery tickets.)
