I'll take the one on the right, better bodyline. You seem to get more koi and quality in this traditional Asagi...Plus $100 difference, no doubt the one on the Right.

one on the left looks to have a weak pattern..........
one on the right, not enough red...

I have never owned an asagi and don't know much about them, so from a rookie point of view, I think that there are strengths and weaknesses in both of them. From looking at the pixs I believe that the lighter one on the left is also a nisai, and at only 14" its body may not be as imposing as the 20". I agree with Tony that the one on the right has a better bodyline. I also like the blue even netting of the 20" nisai. Her head is also very clean. I really think the pec fins are a little distracting and don't know whether it will regress and tighten up or stay the same. IMO, the 14" asagi does not have as even of a netting and I can't tell by looking at the pix as to what sex it is. If I had a choice, I would choose neither, and this is coming from a rookie whose insatiable taste for quality koi has far exceeded the thickness, or lack thereof, of his wallet. If I had to choose one, for $100 more and a guaranteed female, I would take the bigger 20" nisai with the beautiful blue netting. Just a rookie's opinion so please take it lightly.

?? I think you meant 'no doubt the one on the right' ? Or, was it 'I'll take the one on the left'?

The netting on the left fish is uneven and will never correct itself.

The pecs on the right fish are very distracting but they may consolidate. Personally, I wouldn't pay that much for either.

    This !
But the one on the right is the better of the two. But as Bill pointed out, needs more red.

Think that for the money you could do better.
