HELP - desperate and urgent need of your help!

    Hi Everyone,

Yesterday, three large koi were shipped to me by Ray Ables. They were to be flown from Richmond on Delta Dash to Atlanta and then on a direct flight from Atlanta to Grand Cayman.

The fish left Richmond. However, due to a storm in ATL the flight was diverted to Knoxville and then flew into ATL early yesterday morning.

The fish have been lost. No one knows where the three boxes of fish have gone?

They did not get on the plane for Cayman.

And, though Ray and I, and my wife Sheila have spent hours and hours on the telephone with Delta Dash in Atlanta and Cayman - no one knows where the fish have gone? Or, where they are?

They may only have a few more hours before they expire...and, I don't know what more to do than to ask on this board if anyone has any connections with ATL or Delta Dash to please inquire - it's an emergency.

The airway bill number is 006 RIC 9296 2295.

The shipper is Nishikugoi of Niigata, Midlothian, VA.

The Consignee is Lee Aronfeld, Grand Cayman Island. The carrier is Delta Cargo. Delta Airlines.

Please, if you can help...please do. NOW.

They will soon expire. It is so painful.

    Thank you,

    Lee Aronfeld

Lee, I'm so sorry. I'm praying they arrive alive. Bring lots of oxygenated, salted water for them when you get to the airport.

PLEASE, let us know how you make out.

I wish I could help you.

This is what came up tracking your number. Where is RIC?

HI Lee, what has been happening with Delta lately is the cargo employees have not been inputting the tracking number when the boxes arrive in Atlanta,... they send them on to the destination flights without updating the electronic paper trail - SO your boxes may well be waiting for you in Cayman, or they could be sitting in Atlanta. I would call the Atlanta Cargo Terminal directly and get some personal help.

The reason your boxes are showing up as 'missing' is because they weren't logged in in Atlanta, meaning the shipping 'history' was not electronically updated.

This is info. a few clients and I have gotten from similar shipping situations recently.

    Best Wishes,
    Brady Brandwood

I hope you find them Lee.
For future use always use southwest cargo airline. I have use them several times with very good success. Peter Russell will ship by them only, forget ups, fed ex, delta dash for future use. I had same thing happen to me with delta dash and had to wait several hours in hot cargo bldg for next flight to arrive to get my box of koi. I was lucky, they were on next flight, that was the last time I use them. I wish I could of been more help for you. Cheers.

Joe Hatfield is looking into this. He is with Delta. Hope it is resolved soon. Thanks to Joe and the Atlanta people, especially David for helping speed things along to Joe.
