I didn't bother with a Japanese one. I thought I'd leave Brian something to do.

You've actually got some Japanese in your list of greetings, but I'm afraid it's a bit off!

    Shinnen omedeto. Kurisumasu Omedeto

Should be "akemashite omedetou gozaimasu" which is "Happy New Year".

Christmas isn't a holiday here, but rather a time to spend lots of money and going through the aggravation of trying to get reservation at a swank restaurant for you and your girlfriend for Christmas eve. The tradition abruptly ends once you've gotten married...especially once you've had kids!

They also make funny little fresh cream shortcakes that you also have to put in a reservation for. I guess that retailers the world over "win" during this time of the year!

    Thanls Brian.

Would that phrase I posted be acceptable as Okinawan?

Because that's what it was orginally listed as. There are some very peculiar languages on there including Olandese, which I understand to be a sort of mickey taking version of Dutch used by Spanish waiters.

At least that's how it was explained to me.

The last one on the list is Zulu in case anybody is interested.

As the only representative of the International Koi Pin Club on this board I thought I'd better fly the international flag.

    Happy Christmas.

Hope you all have great holidays and a Merry Christmas!

I'm home visiting family and friends for the first time after a year and a half in japan.

planning to visit a couple of the koi importers here in vancouver that i used to deal with; brought some koi-bito mags to show them.
