    Momotaro tosai

I see that Momotaro has an auction on 20 Dec. There are photos and videos of nisai posted. The site says there will be unsexed tosai as well at set prices if I read it right. http://www.momotaro-koi.org/english/

    Thanks for the link, Rob.

Another fine selection of beauties. I'll not have time to study them before the auction is over. Checking out the videos, the Kohaku out of Love Queen have some wonderful bodies, and the skin quality comes through on the Mako Kohaku nisai. How many can reach a meter to match mom? LOL

I wonder what the set prices will be on the unsexed tosai. Are they waiting until the 20th to post?

The Nisai Love Queen are big. Most of them are over 60cm and just 18-month old. Heard from Brother David that this Love Queen Oyagoi (90cm) flying from Sakai FF 2 years ago as Sansai....

    So beautiful...

    Cheers,
    Vic.

It is quite a fish and you can bet that this was the best fish that Sakai was willing to part with. Maedo San when it was just a hobby purchased all his fish from Sakai so they are great friends and go back a long way.
As to size, my first Momotaro fish which were tosai that were not good enough for the auction but are more than I can handle to move from my mud pond and had to sell nearly all because of winter space limitations and size they grew to
My first Momotaro fish were purchased at the Orlando show from one of the dealers.
    Regards
    Eugene
