Well, I felt my #1 pick (#105) for this round was pretty safe as no one picked it in the first 80. Then it went bye-bye early. Then I just read that CarolinaGirl wanted to pick my first pick AGAIN(#87). So, she reconoiters and chooses my second pick for this round (#155). So, for all you inquiring minds, I guess the next best on MY list is #16. Been looking at this fish the entire time. You know how, when you look at fish, certain ones catch your eye immediately and then haunt your thought process while you go through all the others? Well, this one, and a few others did the same thing. Acutally, I gave Jim the wrong selection order when I pm'd him. It should have been #105, 16 and then 155. Oh well, it must be karma cause if I couldn't get 105 then 16 was okay with me. Just lucky I guess. BTW, thanks Cindy, you helped correct my mistake!LOL

    Question Serious Questions...........

With the popularity of this post, my question is how many participants do you think will jump on the SHOWA GROW OUT CONTEST*?

    1. Do you think 200 Koi for 154 participants will be enough for the contest?
    2. Will the max number of fish per participant (3) be reduced?
    3. Any ideas on how to get a pulse on the number of participants will be in the next grow out?
    4. Will we need to throw numbers in the hat to see if we get a chance to play?
    5. OR.....Do you you think there are thousands watching a couple hundred play to learn? Either way it is a win win event.
    6. When can we start the next Grow Out?

The * SHOWA GROW OUT CONTEST mentioned in the first paragraph is simply my affirmation, after much wishful thinking, to WILL the next grow out contest to highlight this wonderful fish. By no means is this to be taken as fact as many will attest to the fact I drink too much coffee, sleep to little & talk to much!

It might has a chance to make some kind of pattern because of a few little weak spots on the head and the white upper lip..... just guessing for a fun.

Not to hold up the line, I picked number 37, just waiting for confirmation from Jim.

    Well done group 4

I want to add my kudos to the group. Only 2 to go for a clean sweep. I was 7th person in group 3 and didn't get to post my pic online so this is amazing.

    My hats off to all.
Whoever said you can't buy happiness didn't know about Koi
